Recently, Tyler, The Creator’s Chromakopia beat out Halsey’s The Great Impersonator for the most album sales in the first week of both releases.
Tyler’s project sold over 299,500 units in the first week, making it the second-biggest release from a hip-hop artist this year.
Earlier, Tyler shared his favorite moments from the album and said, “[A]t 1:54 of ST CHROMA, that siren and low end together feel like a blast wave after an explosion.
[T] the ’20 thousand on me…’ part of RAH TAH TAH, the delivery is from a dumb joke of mine, but I couldn’t get it outta my head. Why not record it?”
He added, “[T]hat JUDGE JUDY bridge…..what! the synth lead out of it? donalds decending harmonies on the last verse? the ending keeps transposing up, this my favorite song, its very tyler coded with every sound ive always used.”
